Pirate Invitational Volleyball

 The Drake Boys ' Volleyball Team hosted a 15 team tournament on Saturday March 27th. Teams came to the Drake gym for an all day volleyball festival. Teams traveled from all over Northern California to play. The tournament had a round of pool play to determine the participants in the three divisions. gold, silver and bronze. Drake went 3-1 in pool play and landed in the gold division. They beat Grant High of Sacramento, El Cerrito and Novato.  They lost to a tough Campolindo team. Campo made it to the finals of the gold division where they lost to Foothill. Foothill is a Division 1 team and is currently the number 1 team in the NCS rankings. Grant HS won the silver division and El Cerrito the bronze.

The Pirates have two tough away games this week against Marin Catholic and El Molino. They will be home against Tam on 4/7, game time 5PM. Come out and support the Pirates as they navigate the tricky MCAL waters.
